As a result of COVID-19, there have been a number of changing patterns in markets, new challenges, personal demands and crises, restrictions, changing roles within the organisation, new rules, and experiences which can adversely affect morale, productivity, team bonding, and work environment. Having professionally trained Human Resource professionals who can coach and provide support to individuals during these events can prove invaluable for organisations. The course is also an opportunity for HR professionals to develop advanced listening and coaching skills, and take a professional step forward.
This course is a comprehensive online training course covering skills appropriate for HR professionals who wish to coach and counsel employees in organisations.
Based on eclectic and holistic techniques from a number of psychological tools, tied with the latest models of coaching, this course empowers each participant, with individualised attention, to work with their personal strengths and find their unique style of coaching. With limited participants, the course provides plenty of opportunities for role plays, immersive activities and discussions to look at these skills and individual styles in detail.
The first module explores the skills that are essential for developing a foundation in listening skills, and role clarification, balancing the varied roles and responsibilities a HR professional would have, while coaching and forming a personal helping relationship with employees. A salient feature covered in this course is documentation and ethics in depth, and other essentials for professionals. Working with diverse populations, and sensitivity to varying issues and contexts will also be emphasised.
The second and third module include active supervision as participants embark on their journey of professionally applying these skills. These modules cover common concerns and conflicts seen in the workplace, and managing the goals that arise in this process. Assignments, reflections, and critical thinking during discussions aid in putting these skills in perspective, and strengthen the skills moving forward.
Additionally, these modules are designed to cover the tasks and changing landscape of coaching employees who are working from home, or with atypical schedules, as a result of the pandemic.
